About Me

I am passionate about helping people make the best use of their resources and data. I trained as an applied statistician and have over 25 years of experience working on complex problems in renewable natural resources management, food security, climate change, international development and the illegal wildlife trade.

As well as the technical and statistical aspects of the work I particularly enjoy the collaborative process that is required to make a project successful; talking with people about their projects and data-related challenges and working with them to find  practical cost-effective solutions. I am always keen to really understand and explain concepts in as clear and simple language as possible.

I have worked as both an in-house statistician and in collaboration with international research institutes, universities, non-governmental organisations and governmental departments working in development, environment, conservation, agriculture and climate change in the UK and Africa.
