I help people obtain and analyse the data necessary to build a strong evidence base to answer complex and challenging questions in the sustainable management of natural resources, food security, climate change, international development and the illegal wildlife trade.
Complex problems often involve many different processes that interact and their different effects need to be disentangled. It may be difficult to observe and measure what it is you are most interested in. Available data might have been collected for a different purpose and so it is not straightforward to use it to answer your question. Further challenges include being limited in the available resources to build the evidence base and knowing where to seek support.
As an independent applied statistician I enjoy, and have experience of, collaborating on projects with these types of challenges. My aim is to provide the clarity and help you need. This may be by providing advice or technical support on: the design of projects, research methods, data collection and analysis strategies; data analysis; presenting and reporting results; assessing whether the objectives of a project are/were feasible given the available resources, project design and data.
Please do get in touch here if you wish to discuss whether I can contribute to helping you solve your problems. I’d love to talk with you.
